Economical, Beautiful Buildings

For almost any low-rise application, post-frame buildings are the most economical choice. They go up more quickly and for less money. They have the lowest embodied energy, and are therefore the "greenest" of buildings. They achieve the highest insulation R-values, making them the most energy-efficient of buildings. And they can achieve ANY look - so they can be the most beautiful buildings as well. Click here to read the complete story.

Did your deck post rot?

Have you ever had an old wooden deck? If so, most likely you finally replaced it (or at least wished you did) when you noticed that the posts supporting it were beginning to show signs of decay. Perhaps you decided next time to use wood composite deck materials because they last longer - but you can't stick a composite post in the ground to support your deck, so you have to put the more expensive composite deck on a treated wood post that will rot long before the rest of the deck reaches its service-life. Now there's a pre-cast concrete deck post that you can use that will never rot - click here for more information.

Video on Post-Frame Advantages

The National Frame Building Association (NFBA) developed this video describing the features and benefits of post-frame construction, to help more people discover the post-frame advantage. One of post-frame's biggest advantages is that it may use a variety of foundation options, which are also described in the video. Click here to watch the video.

Free Estimating Software

Still estimating buildings by hand? Estimate an entire building before your customer's very eyes in minutes using our free version of Post-Frame Manager. Choose various color and finish options, place doors, windows and other accoutrements, and walk your customer through the building inside and out in 3-D to make sure it's what he or she wants - then give them an accurate price based on the way YOU do buildings. Produces shop drawings, material lists and more. Click here for more info.

Lead-Safe Training Required by OSHA effective 4/22/2010

Effective 4/12/2010, contractors and employees who work on structures erected prior to 1978 MUST complete Lead-Safe Work Practices Training. There are many other training requirements mandated by law as well. Click here to find out how to get training.
